The future

Hey guys,

Although it's Wednesday, this is going to be less of  a 'normal' post, and more of an update on what I have planned for my blog and its content.
As announced this week, via my twitter @trustinjess, I've decided to start scheduling my posts. Now my tweets say that I'll be posting every Wednesday and Sunday, but I've decided to try and get a guest post on my blog for every Wednesday, so you, as well as I can have a chance to see some completely new content, and if you're like me and you're currently searching for some new blogs to follow, it'll be great because you'll be introduced to some very exciting blogs. (This is something that I'm actually really excited about and hope works).

Moving on, so Sundays will be my new 'normal' posting days, although I haven't yet gotten into the hang of posting at a certain time of day (I'm trying to take baby steps now, we all know how disastrous my last attempt at scheduled posting was).

I've recently started a new post series called 'Outfit of the day' (OOTD) but depending on my revision schedule for the next four months (GCSEs)  *Cue the tears and moans* I might have to change it to 'Outfit of  the week' (OOTW) and if I do that, and I'll tell you if I do, I'll probably post those every Monday.

These are my current plans, but I'll let you know if anything changes.

P.s. I'd also lovee if you guys could start sending me some post requests either via my twitter: @trustinjess or
via e-mail: jessquaynor@gmail.com

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

Outfit of the week

Hey guys,

I've rediscovered the beautiful site called Polyvore.

If I recollect properly, my friend Kayleigh introduced it to me a couple of years ago. It's a site where people can browse, search for items, and create their own look-books. It truly is amazing. I find that when I am struggling to find something to wear, which is unbelievably often, I can just search an item of clothing from my wardrobe and look at the outfits other people have created with it. What I also find useful is that when I am considering purchasing something, instead of just going to the store and making a decision, I can search the item into Polyvore and plan ahead (future outfits).
But that's not all, the site is not limited to only clothes and fashion items (although that is all I am currently using it for) you can search for and browse all kinds of objects in the following categories:

Fashion
Beauty
Home

Below is a recent (well, my very first) created style, featuring the new boots I bought today at River Island along with where you can purchase all of the items:

newlook.com

£83 - bergdorfgoodman.com

£525 - amazon.com

£32 - henribendel.com

£265 - cyfashionc.com

thehut.com

ohh and another awesome app to look out or is 'The Hunt' I think it's now for both apple and android products, but I'm not too sure. Basically, you know those really annoying times when  you see someone wearing a really cool outfit, but you feel really awkward asking them? basically you can take a picture and post it on the app, and people can help you find out where it's from, or at least something very similar.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

Our New Look

Hey guys,

I'm going to try and keep this update as short and sweet as possible :)

We're officially twenty two/three (depending on your time-zone) days into the New Year and you know what they say 'New year new me'. So I thought it would only be fitting that I give my Blog page a new make-over.

As you can see, I've made a few changes;
I've changed the background back to the pinky-orange watercolour design as well as changing my header to a watercolour painting.
If you're wondering why I've decided to go back to that design instead of trying a new one, and (for some reason) liked my old appearance, I thought I'd go back to the basics. The watercolour background was the original design I had used when I first created my Blog.

Moving on, it's official.

I've managed to keep most of my New Years Resolutions (which were more like aspirations/achievements)- so far, but I've got another three hundred and so days to mess this up :(.
Wish me luck.

30 Days Of Little Acts Of Kindness

HEy GUYS,
For the end of January and throughout February, I've decided to participate in  the...

30 DAYS OF LITTLE ACTS OF KINDNESS CHALLENGE

(Below is my list)

This is when you (well, I) have to do something kind for someone else resulting in me, hopefully, making their day :).
And before you say anything, I know that so far the amount of crossed off items on this list are almost nothing in contrast to the uncrossed, but hopefully I've got enough time to fix that.

Write and send someone a handwritten letter
Compliment a stranger
Send paper thank you notes to five different people
Pay for the coffee, the toll, or the bus fare for the person behind you
Let the person who seems rushed cut in front of you
Hold the door open for someone
Help people move
Send your friend a letter
Go through your things and give freely to those in need
Call everyone you know and tell them you love them
Help someone whose car has broken down
Bake a cake for the birthday person
Let someone else have your seat on the crowded bus, light-rail or subway
Do the task no one else wants to do
Listen to someone’s life story - Yes, the whole thing
Put money in someone else’s parking meter that’s about to expire
Cook or buy a meal for a homeless person
Donate to your local charity
Leave a generous tip
Take positive small talk to strangers
Take your friends dog for a walk
Send someone a small gift anonymously
Offer to pick up groceries for an elderly neighbour
Leave your favourite book in a public place with a note
Donate books to your local library
Volunteer at a soup kitchen
Pay for the drinks on the next table at a restaurant
Treat a friend to the movies for no reason
Put a flower on your neighbours' porch
Give free hugs

P.S. If you're wondering where you can find a bunch of cool challenges, I recommend that you check Tumblr. That's where I found this, as well as some of my other challenges.

Oh! And please, PLEASE, feel free to try some of the items on this challenge and make someone's' day.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM..

Happy New Year!

Hey guys,

I know I promised a photo album of my trip to Dubai, and trust me, I will deliver, but since it's the new year, I thought I'd do my annual 'New Years Resolutions' post first. And now that I think about it, I think it'd also be really cool to do a photo dairy post on 2014 as a whole, sort of like a flashback.

First of all, I have to look back at my New Years Resolution post from last year (I love saying that now, although 2014 was literally two days ago) and see what resolutions I have honoured (if that's how you spell it) throughout the year and the ones I have completely forgotten about.
So my old list looked something a little like this:

Keep all of my Resolutions
No more sweets
No more fizzy drinks
Be nicer to people
Sleep before 9:30pm
get an A in french and maths
Join 5 new clubs
Write a book

I hope I kept the 'be nicer to people' resolution, The sleep before 9:30, joining 5 new clubs, write a book, no more fizzy drinks, and no more sweets resolutions, were pretty much out of the window on the 2nd of January last year... Whoops? which pretty much means that my first resolution 'keep all of my resolutions' went down the drain with them. On the other hand, one thing that I did keep, that wasn't on my resolutions list was become a vegetarian (I guess I did something right!)

This year, I think I should make some more achievable resolutions. Such as:

  1. Learn how to use my camera (Canon 1200D). I know, I know it's one of the most basic DSLR cameras, but don't judge me
  2. Try and establish somewhat of a blogging schedule (I know I said achievable, but a girl can dream. Right?)
  3. Have more guest bloggers post on my blog more often
  4. Study for an exam in advance and not a couple days before (again, I know I said 'achievable' but I'm going to try my hardest)
  5. No more chocolate. Now, I know I did something similar to this last year with sweats, but although I loovee chocolate, I'm going to try and see how long I can last without it (wish me luck)
So I guess that's my resolutions for this year, although, if I think of any more, I'll  definitely update this post :) comment below if you have any cool resolutions this year, or if you've got some similar resolutions to me

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
